However the ?????3 binaries in the two builds aren't exactly the same. And yes, directly executing ???????'s `/usr/lib/ games/dhewm3/ dhewm3` works. If the data files are not in any expected locations, the ???? build will fail silently. The ???? build directly executes the ?????3 binary, whereas the ??????? build first executes a script which does a check for data files and if found, calls the ?????3 binary. On inspecting the two builds I was able to find the differences between ??????? and ???? builds.
